When your child becomes ill, we encourage you to contact Village Pediatrics immediately. During office hours, we have a triage nurse available to assess your child’s unique situation. In most cases we can offer a same day appointment for your child to be seen by one of our providers. Reaching out to us at the onset of symptoms will assure your child gets the prompt attention needed and, in some cases, minimize the extent of the illness. Please note that we cannot always guarantee a same-day appointment; based on your specific situation your child may need to be seen the next morning. Depending on the severity of the illness, our staff can offer triage and guidance over the phone to assist you in providing care to your child. We recognize todays family is extremely busy and our state-of-the-art phone system allows you to leave messages for a nurse to call you back the next day, refill prescriptions and leave appointment question 24 hours a day. In addition, Village Pediatrics offers 24-hour phone service. You can reach one of our trained nurses or practitioners at any time for advice and questions. We do ask that the calls be limited to “can’t wait” situations.
